Q: When should I start looking for my dress?

A: As soon as you get engaged! It's never too soon to start searching for the perfect gown. Once you find your wedding gown, the rest of the details fall into place, so it's important to schedule your bridal appointment early in the planning process.

Q: Do I need to make an appointment to try on dresses?

A: We strongly prefer that you make an appointment so that we can guarantee one of our experienced bridal consultants will be available to fully assist you. Though we don't place a strict time limit on your shopping experience, your bridal appointment will usually last about an hour.

Q: Do you allow food and drink in the store?

A: We do not allow any food or drink in the boutique to ensure the quality and condition of our hand selected gowns. We will provide bottled water at your request.

Q: When should I select my accessories?

A: We recommend coordinating the matching elements the same day you select your bridal gown. This will ensure that all of your pieces match, and it is one more item off your wedding check list. Your consultant can help you select your veil or headpiece and what jewelry you will need to compliment and complete your look. You may order your accessories at a later time, but they can take up to several months to come in.

Q: Do I have to pay for the gown in full on the day of purchase?

A: Your budget is often a significant aspect of your shopping experience. We offer dresses ranging from $500-$6,000 with the majority of our gowns falling between $1,000-$2,000. We recognize that not everyone has the total amount of the dress to put down on the day of purchase, so we offer a wonderful layaway plan. We want to make sure you feel completely comfortable when making the decision to purchase from us.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Amex for the initial payments. Your final payment must be in cash only.

Q: After I place my order, how long will it take for my wedding gown to arrive?

A: You order is placed with the manufacturer on the day of purchase. Each dress and designer is different, but it generally takes about 6-8 months for bridal gowns to arrive. Most designers also offer rush shipping and special orders as well.

Q: Who should I show my gown to once I have decided?

A: We suggest that, once you decide on your gown, you keep it a secret. We want every bride to experience that "awe moment" when the doors open, you enter the room, and you begin your walk down the aisle. We believe that every bride deserves to have the element of surprise that can create a magical moment that will be remembered forever.

Q: Do you offer alterations?

A: We do custom alterations to sculpt your gown so that it fits you flawlessly and we will keep your gown safe and protected in our store free of charge. Most gowns need some sort of adjustment, but keep in mind that alterations can vary, depending on how many changes are needed or wanted. We hand press all gowns, veils, and slips purchased here for free. We also offer alterations, pressing, and preservations on gowns not purchased from us at an additional charge.

Q: When should I pick up my dress?

A: We recommend picking up your gown the Thursday or Friday before your Saturday wedding. If you are getting dressed at the church, you should make sure there is a secure and locked room for your gown. It is also a good idea to check with the church or your ceremony site for their recommendations. If you are traveling, we can also help you pack your gown safely.

Q: When should I get my dress preserved?

A: We recommend bringing in the gown within two weeks after the wedding. The goal is to keep the dress wearable and fit to be passed down from generation to generation.
